[Xehanort's party is walking through the Fork in the Road.]
- Hermod: "They were a friendly bunch. A little strange, but not dangerous—unlike the queen."
- Xehanort: "Right, the queen is different. Those guys were confusing and erratic, but she's all about power. She's predictable that way.
- Hermod: "She is?"
- Xehanort: "Yeah. The people here are all scared of her. Their fear is the foundation of this world's order."
- Eraqus: "Order based on fear? That can't be right."
- Xehanort: "So many of them seem silly and carefree, but beneath it all, they're afraid. That's how order is maintained here."
- Hermod: "But the Tweedles didn't seem to be cowering under her rule. They looked happy enough to me."
- Eraqus: "Because they're not like the queen. Their fear hasn't manifested as darkness."
- Hermod: "Right. Unlike the queen, they don't have darkness in their hearts."
- Xehanort: "So you know."
- Hermod: "I've known since the two of you asked to go off alone. You were going to look into her, right? But it wasn't part of the mission, so you didn't want to involve the rest of us."
- Eraqus: "That's pretty much it. No hiding anything from you, huh?"
- Hermod: "You can't hide anything from anyone, Eraqus."
- Eraqus: "Call me an open book!"
- Hermod: "So tell me everything."
- Xehanort: "All right. I doubt we're going to uncover anything about the missing wielders in this world. The queen's reaction said it all. We're the only outsiders who've come here in a long time."
- Xehanort: "I still don't know if darkness was involved in their disappearance, but it has to be the key to finding them. Think about it. How else could seven wielders disappear at the same time?"
- Xehanort: "Chasing the darkness might lead to the truth."
- Hermod: "That makes sense. Then what are we waiting for?"
- Xehanort: "I thought you might ask. I think we're lost."
- Hermod: "We are?"
- Eraqus: "We are?"
- Hermod: "No wonder we've been wandering around all this time."
[Xehanort's party is walking through the Fork in the Road.]
- Bragi: "What was with those guys? They weren't making a lot of sense, but otherwise, they seemed pretty harmless."
- Xehanort: "I agree. Those two were confusing and erratic. But the queen is different. She's all about power. She's predictable that way.
- Bragi: "She is?"
- Bragi: "But the Tweedles didn't look scared to me. They actually looked pretty happy."
- Eraqus: "Because they're not like the queen. Their fear hasn't manifested as darkness."
- Bragi: "I get it. Unlike the queen, they don't have darkness in their hearts."
- Xehanort: "That's right."
- Bragi: "When you guys said you wanted to go alone, I knew something was up. You're trying to find out more about the queen, right? Don't deny it, Eraqus—I can read you like a book."
- Eraqus: "Really? I thought I had a pretty good poker face."
- Bragi: "Think of how many games you've lost."
- Eraqus: "That's why I lost!?"
- Bragi: "Anyway..."
- Bragi: "Xehanort. What now?"
- Xehanort: "Well, I doubt we're going to uncover anything about the missing wielders in this world.
- Bragi: "All right. That's all I needed to hear. Let's go talk to the queen."
- Xehanort: "Well... There's still so much we don't know. Is the queen the source of darkness, or is she just a vessel for it? And is she harboring it knowingly?"
- Eraqus: "If she's a vessel, then there's a chance we could become vessels too. That's why it's better to put fewer wielders at risk."
- Bragi: "Yeah, yeah, whatever. I'm better prepared for this than you are, Eraqus."
- Eraqus: "Oh, really!?"
- Bragi: "Xehanort, let's go."
- Xehanort: "I'd like to, but...I think we're lost."
- Bragi: "We are?"
- Eraqus: "We are?"
- Bragi: "I thought it was taking a while to get there. Man, do I have to do everything?"
[Xehanort's party is walking through the Fork in the Road.]
- Urd: "We don't have to worry about them, right? They we're saying some strange things, but I don't think we were in any danger."
- Xehanort: "I agree. Those two were confusing and erratic. But the queen is different. She's all about power. She's predictable that way.
- Urd: "She is?"
- Urd: "But the Tweedles didn't look scared at all. In fact, they looked pretty happy."
- Eraqus: "Because they're not like the queen. Their fear hasn't manifested as darkness."
- Urd: "Right. Unlike the queen, they don't have darkness in their hearts."
- Xehanort: "You knew."
- Urd: "Of course. When you guys said you wanted to go alone, I knew you were up to something. You want to find out more about the queen, right? I don't like that you hid it from me, but I'm listening."
- Eraqus: "Okay, you know everything. Well, you've always been good at figuring things out."
- Urd: "Well, you've always been bad at hiding them."
- Eraqus: "I can't help it. I'm an honest guy."
- Urd: "That wasn't a compliment. We'll be dealing with a lot of residents in other worlds. You need to practice your poker face."
- Eraqus: "But—"
- Urd: "So what's the plan?"
- Xehanort: "Well, I doubt we're going to uncover anything about the missing wielders in this world.
- Urd: "So we need to change our approach. Got it. Let's go and have a chat with the queen."
- Xehanort: "That was the plan, but I don't know how to get there."
- Urd: "We're lost?"
- Eraqus: "We're lost?"
- Urd: "No wonder we've been wandering around aimlessly."
[Xehanort's party is walking through the Fork in the Road.]
- Vor: "So we just let them be?"
- Vor: "Nothing they said made any sense. They were as odd as the queen."
- Xehanort: "No, the queen is different. Those guys were confusing and erratic, but she's all about power. She's predictable that way.
- Vor: "She is?"
- Vor: "But the Tweedles didn't look scared. They looked happy."
- Eraqus: "Because they're not like the queen. Their fear hasn't manifested as darkness."
- Vor: "Right. Unlike the queen, they don't have darkness in their hearts."
- Xehanort: "Uh..."
- Vor: "Don't look so surprised. You made it pretty obvious."
- Vor: "You two were going to try to find out more about the queen on your own, weren't you?"
- Vor: "Why would you keep that from me? Oh, wait, I got it!"
- Vor: "Our mission is to search for the missing upper classmen, but you became more interested in darkness, so you were going to leave me to do your own research!"
- Vor: "How could you, guys!? I'm gonna tell Master Odin!"
- Eraqus: "No! I mean, yes, but... We thought that this would be the fastes way to find out what happened to them. Right?"
- Xehanort: "Right. I doubt we're going to uncover anything about them in this world.
- Vor: "But why do you have to go alone? I can help, you know."
- Vor: "Got it! Let's go have a chat with the queen!"
- Eraqus: "Were you even listening?"
- Xehanort: "Guys? I think we're lost."
- Vor: "We are?"
- Eraqus: "We are?"
- Vor: "I knew we'd been wandering around for too long..."
- Xehanort: "Finding our way there might not be easy. We got lucky last time."
[The Cheshire Cat's face appears.]
- Cheshire Cat: "Lose something?"
- Eraqus: "The cat! Great timing. We need to see the queen. Which way do we go?"
- Cheshire Cat: "It really doesn't matter. All ways are the queen's ways, after all."
[The Cheshire Cat disappears.]
- Eraqus: "Wait! We don't have time for riddles. Which way is it?"
[The Cheshire Cat reappears.]
- Cheshire Cat: "Well, some go this way, some go that way. But as for me, myself, personally, I prefer the shortcut."
[A shortcut opens in a tree trunk.]
