In the Japanese version, Illustrated Kairi was available for a limited time from May 27 to June 2, 2016.

In the English version, during the 10/28/16 - 11/10/16 Epic Medal Carnival, players had a small chance of drawing a boosted version of Illustrated Kairi that has 1,000 more base strength.

In the Japanese version, during the 12/17/16 - 12/19/16 Revival Special Draw, players had a small chance of drawing a boosted version of Illustrated Kairi that has 1,000 more base strength and defense, and an all-target Special Attack.
