Union Cross Quests
Union Cross Quests are special types of quests that let players team up with up to 5 other players in the same Union and play quests together in real-time.
Quests and rewards change periodically with each new Union Cross event. Cross Coins are earned by completing these quests, which are used to unlock rewards on Cross Boards.
In order to play Union Cross quests, players must first clear Quest 34: The Search for the Red Bandit Pt. 5.
Upon starting a Union Cross quest, the primary objective will appear on-screen. The quest will end once the objective is completed. During the quest, a timed objective may also appear on-screen. These are limited-time challenges, so coordinated teamwork is highly advised, in order to complete them before time runs out. The stages and objectives encountered are randomly decided, based on the current Union Cross event.
Mechanics
Enemies in Union Cross Quests have more HP than regular enemies, and some quests contain a target enemy with lots of HP.
When a player's HP is reduced to 0, assuming Second Chance doesn't save them, a heart appears above their head with a number in it. Other players can tap that player to reduce the number by 1 at the cost of one medal use. Whenever the number reaches 0, the player's HP and Nova will restore and they can continue in the quest. This number starts at 1 and increases by 1 every time the player runs out of HP.
Bonus Time
Starting from the Beat Adventurer to Get Medals! Event, Union Cross Events have special bonus times. Every day, at 7 and 11 pm PT (02:00 and 06:00 UTC), rare enemies have an increased chance to appear, and the Extra Hard Boss will be extra difficult and reward more coins. These bonus times last for 30 minutes (1 hour prior to the Collect Medals to Complete the Pooh & Tigger & Rabbit Medal! Event).
From November 27, 2017 on, three extra bonus times were added.
