Story summary

The Player, Vanellope, and Ralph try to escape from King Candy.

Script

Before quest

[Ralph and Vanellope go through the wall. Before The Player can follow, King Candy appears. The Player hides.]

• King Candy: "Where'd they go? Find that glitch! Destroy that kart! She can't be allowed to race!"

[King Candy leaves, and The Player comes out of their hiding place. Chirithy appears next to them.]

• Chirithy: "Why doesn't he want Vanellope in the race?"
• Chirithy: "And how was he able to command those Heartless? It looks like Ralph isn't the only one we'll need to investigate."
• Chirithy: "Let's stick with Ralph for now and see if we can get any answers."

[Chirithy disappears and The Player follows Ralph and Vanellope through the wall.]

• Ralph: "What're these?"
• Ralph: ""Diet cola hot springs. Watch out for falling candy"?"
• Vanellope: "Yeah, check it out. Look!"

[Vanellope throws a rock at a candy stalactite, causing a piece to fall in the spring, resulting in a column of diet cola to erupt from the spring.]

• Vanellope: "Oh, you gotta watch out for the splash. That stuff is broiling hot."
• Ralph: "Yeah, I got that, thank you."
• Ralph: "What is this dump?"
• Vanellope: "I think it's some sort of unfinished bonus level. Yeah, it's pretty cool huh?"
• Vanellope: "I found that secret opening, and now I live here."
• Ralph: "By yourself?"
• Vanellope: "Well, yeah."
• Vanellope: "I mean, everyone here says I'm just a mistake, and that I wasn't even supposed to exist. What do you expect?"
• Ralph: "Listen, kid, I know it's none of mu business... ...but why do you even stick around this game?"
• Vanellope: "You really don't know anything, do you? Glitches can't leave their games."
• Vanellope: "It's one of the joys of being me."

[Ralph starts hitting the ground.]

• Vanellope: "Hey! What are you doing!?"

[A Heartless appears. The Player heads toward it.]

• Vanellope: "No way! Get out! This is my home!"

[More Heartless appear.]

• Ralph: "Stay back, I got this!"

[Ralph joins The Player to fight the Heartless.]

• Ralph: "You ready?"
