In the Japanese version, HD King Mickey was released as a Sora & Riku HD Ver commemorative gift on July 13, 2016.
In the English version, HD King Mickey was given away to players who had unlocked the Special Attack Bonus for HD Sora before the end of the 11/25/2016 - 12/02/2016 Black Friday Deal. Players were able to get this Medal up to 1 time in total. The Medal given also had its Special Attack already strengthened to 3 dots.
