Quest 911 takes place in Candy Kingdom.
Story summary edit
Four years ago, Master Ava tells Brain he's chosen as one of the Union leaders, and gives him a Book of Prophecies and a list with the names of the five Union leaders. In the present, Lauriam shares his concerns regarding Strelitzia with Brain.
In the meantime, Maleficent enters Daybreak Town.
Ralph crashes in Candy Kingdom, and spots a Medal. When climbing the tree with the Medal, he comes across Vanellope. Calhoun and Felix find out Ralph entered another game and decide to go after the Cy-bug that came along with him. The Player and Chirithy look for Ralph in Candy Kingdom.
Script edit
- Before quest
[Master Ava and Brain are talking on a hill outside Daybreak Town.]
- Brain: "Me? A Union leader? You've got to be joking."
- Master Ava: "I'm serious."
- Brain: "I'm not cut out for leadership. What exactly factored into that decision?"
- Master Ava: "The Master's orders."
- Brain: "Your Master? The Master of Masters?"
- Master Ava: "Yes. And I'm sure you'll do fine."
- Brain: "You say that like it's going to be easy. It sounds like a lot of work. And who are the other four, anyway?"
- Master Ava: "I can't tell you that yet."
- Brain: "I get it."
- Brain: "The five of us are supposed to convene after the war... ...so you can't have us meeting up and doing something unexpected before then, right? It kinda sounds like you're asking us to be pawns in someone else's game."
- Master Ava: "Clever as always, Brain."
- Brain: "Thanks, but I'm not sure I'm interested."
- Master Ava: "What if I told you the fate of this world was already decided?
- Brain: "That'd be terrible."
- Master Ava: "Why?"
- Brain: "If everything's already been decided for you, where's the fun in that?"
- Master Ava: "What if it wasn't decided for you... ...but you knew what would happen next?"
- Brain: "Is this about the Book of Prophecies?"
- Master Ava: "Yes. If you knew what the future held, wouldn't you know how to change it?"
- Brain: "That's true... Wait."
- Brain: "But if you do change something... ...isn't THAT what would be written in the Book? Hmm... How would that work?"
- Brain: "Does the Book get overwritten every time something changes?"
- Master Ava: "We don't know what happens. Maybe... ...it leads to a completely new and undecided future."
- Brain: "Is that what this is about?"
- Master Ava: "No, it's just something I've been thinking about. About what would happen if we altered our fate."
[Master Ava grabs the Book of Prophecies.]
- Master Ava: "This is for you."
[Brain takes the Book.]
- Master Ava: "I was tasked to give this Book to one of you."
- Brain: "What? Me?"
[Master Ava now grabs a piece of paper.]
- Master Ava: "The Master also gave me this list with the names of the five Union leaders. The one whose name is circled gets the Book. No one else should read it under any circumstances."
[Master Ava takes the Book from Brain and places the list somewhere in the Book.]
- Master Ava: "I put it between the pages on which your fates are written. Brain, I trust you'll understand my message when the time comes."
[Brain takes the Book.]
- Brain: "Don't worry, I already got your message loud and clear."
[In the present, Brain is sitting at the desk in the Foretellers' Chamber with the Book in front of him.]
- Lauriam: "Any ideas?"
[Lauriam enters the room.]
- Brain: "Are you kidding? It's only been a few minutes."
- Lauriam: "True. The others decided to stay in the control room a bit longer."
- Brain: "All right."
- Lauriam: "I know it's not the best time for this, but I spoke with a friend of Strelitzia's. Apparently, before she disappeared, she talked about the Keyblade War... ...as if she was sure it was coming."
- Lauriam: "You mentioned before that you couldn't figure out why Strelitzia wanted someone to join the Dandelions... ...when she'd been so hesitant to join herself. I think it's because she knew the Keyblade War was about to become a reality."
- Brain: "But all of the Dandelions knew about the war. They'd known for a while, even a latecomer like her."
- Lauriam: "Right."
- Lauriam: "She knew about it the whole time, so why would she suddenly try to get The Player to join?"
- Brain: "I see what you're getting at. Something made her absolutely sure that the wat WAS gonna happen."
- Lauriam: "I think so."
[The scene goes back to Ava and Brain.]
- Brain: "I won't open the Book if I can avoid it."
- Master Ava: "That's fine. You'll know when it's time."
[The scene goes back to Brain and Lauriam.]
- Brain: "I might have an idea."
- Lauriam: "What is it?"
- Brain: "Can you give me some time alone to think?"
- Lauriam: "Sure. Let me know if you need any help."
- Brain: "Will do."
[A Corridor of Darkness opens in the Fountain Square, and Maleficent walks out.]
- Maleficent: "So this is Daybreak Town..."
- Maleficent: "Such a perfectly foul place that reeks of light. You say this world holds the key to returning to my own time?"
[A shadowy figure appears.]
- Darkness: "Yes."
[In Candy Kingdom...]
- Ralph: "Aggghhh!"
[Ralph's pod crashes and he flies into a tree, while the Cy-Bug falls into a pool. From the tree, Ralph sees a Medal in a tree further away. He starts climbing the tree with the Medal in it.]
- Vanellope: "Hi, mister!"
[The Player arrives back at Game Central Station.]
- Felix: "So I asked around..."
[Felix and Calhoun are talking on the other side of the Station.]
- Felix: "...and it sounds like Ralph flew that pod thing into another game!"
[The two walk up to the door to the game "Sugar Rush".]
- Calhoun: "Sugar Rush... Cy-bugs will chew up that game faster than a chicken hawk in a coop of crippled roosters."
- Felix: "Uh, what was that now?"
- Calhoun: "What're you, thick? There was a cy-bug on that shuttle!"
- Calhoun: "Do you even know what a cy-bug is?"
- Felix: "I can't say that I do, ma'am."
- Calhoun: "Cy-bugs are like a virus. They don't know they're in a game. All they know is eat, kill, multiply. Without a beacon to stop them, they'll consume Sugar Rush and invade every other game... ...until this arcade is nothing but a smoking husk of forgotten dreams."
[Calhoun enters the door. Felix and The Player follow her. Inside, Calhoun activates a hoverboard.]
- Felix: "Wait, ma'am! I'm going with you!"
- Calhoun: "Like fun you are, shortstack. You die outside your game, you don't regenerate."
- Felix: "Well, neither do you, ma'am. And it is my job to fix what Ralph wrecks. And I cannot ask you to risk your cleaning up his mess. No flex on this one, ma'am. I am coming along with you."
[Calhoun steps on the hoverboard and nods to Felix to join her. Felix also jumps on the hoverboard, and The Player prepares to follow them.]
- Calhoun: "Not you, civilian. This mission is strictly key personnel only."
[Calhoun and Felix head off. Chirithy appears.]
- Chirithy: "And there they go."
[The Player looks disappointed.]
- Chirithy: "Those cy-bugs pose a threat to the world, just like the Heartless. Maybe they're a kind of darkness too."
- Chirithy: "But let's worry about that later. For now, we need to find Ralph since he might be causing our world's glitches."
[The Player nods and enters the game.]
[Inside Sugar Rush, The Player and Chirithy come across the crashed pod.]
- Chirithy: "This looks familiar."
- Chirithy: "This is what Ralph flew off in, isn't it?"
- Chirithy: "Well, he can't have gone far."
- Chirithy: "Let's find him!"
