Quest 925 takes place in Candy Kingdom.

Story summary

The Player, Vanellope, and Ralph head toward the Kart Bakery. Meanwhile, Brain and Ephemer confront Ventus and Skuld with their findings regarding the list of Union leaders, revealing that Ventus's name isn't on it. Maleficent reaches the lifeboat, but Lauriam finds her before she can use it.

After quest

[Ephemer and Brain are waiting outside Daybreak Town.]

• Brain's Chirithy: "I'm back!"
• Brain: "Great."

[Ventus and Skuld join them.]

• Ventus: "Hey, guys. What's up?"
• Ephemer: "You've brought them both?"
• Brain's Chirithy: "I didn't have much of a choice, you know."

[Brain's Chirithy vanishes.]

• Ventus: "Hey, did you see? It was snowing!"
• Skuld: "But you didn't call us out here to talk about the weather, did you?"
• Brain: "You're right, I didn't. There's something I want to ask you."
• Brain: "Who told you that you were chosen to be a Union leader?"
• Skuld: "Master Ava."
• Ventus: "Yeah, same here."
• Ephemer: "Brain, maybe we should talk to them separately."
• Skuld: "Huh?"
• Ventus (simultaneously): "What?"
• Brain: "Where were you when she told you?"
• Skuld: "We were right here."
• Ventus: "For me, it was... ...near the clock tower."
• Brain: "...Interesting."
• Skuld: "What is this? Some kind of interrogation?"
• Ephemer: "It's not like that, Skuld."
• Ventus: "Are we being suspected of something?"
• Brain: "Ventus, Skuld, let me explain. You see, Master Ava entrusted me with something."

[Brain takes out the Book of Prophecies.]

• Skuld: "Is that the Book of Prophecies!?"
• Brain: "That's right."
• Brain: "And inside it... ...Master Ava tucked away a note listing the name of the five new Union leaders. The name of the one originally meant to receive the Book is circled."
• Skuld: "Originally? It wasn't you?"
• Brain: "Nope."
• Brain: "I guessed as much when she gave me this. Master Ava wanted to defy fate and change the future, so she gave it to me instead."
• Brain: "But something else is off... The list of Union leaders itself."
• Brain: "One of the names doesn't match up. Lauriam's sister, Strelitzia, was supposed to be a Union leader."
• Skuld: "What? So Master Ava swapped out one of the leaders too?"
• Brain: "I don't think so."
• Brain: "If Master Ava had planned to switch out a Union leader... ...she wouldn't have given me this note in the first place."
• Brain: "As for Strelitzia... ...it might be easy to suspect Master Ava may be involved with her disappearance... ...but I don't believe she is. She's not that kind of person."
• Skuld: "Maybe a replacement was chosen after Strelitzia went missing."
• Brain: "That doesn't add up either. Strelitzia was last seen just before the start of the Keyblade War... ...desperately trying to get The Player to join the Dandelions."
• Brain: "We can assume this is because she heard from Master Ava that she was chosen to be a Union leader and that the war was coming. If Master Ava wanted to switch her out for someone else, even on such short notice, she would have told someone."
• Brain: "It would make sense to tell me at least... ...seeing as she trusted me with both the Book and the list of names that was about to change."
• Skuld: "That makes sense... Is Lauriam's name on there?"
• Ephemer: "Yeah, it is."
• Ephemer: "We'll discuss this with him later after we know more. He has a lot on his plate right now looking into Strelitzia's disappearance."
• Brain: "We asked you those questions earlier..."
• Brain: "...to determine whether or not the replacement knew about any of this. Ephemer and I agreed that even though we know the truth, we don't want anything to change between us."
• Ephemer: "That's right. And I think we got the answer we were looking for. Like Brain said, nothing changes—we're still a team. We'll keep working together to try to figure this whole thing out."

[Brain walks up to Ventus and puts a hand on his shoulder.]

• Brain: "Ventus. Your name isn't on the list."

[The scene shifts to Maleficent walking through the Clock Tower.]

• Maleficent: "The defenses here are rather lacking."

["Darkness" appears beside her.]

• Darkness: "This place is off-limits, so no one comes in here."
• Maleficent: "You're certainly knowledgeable about all this—this world, the lifeboat, the lack of defenses. Just who are you?"
• Darkness: "Think of me as an old friend."
• Maleficent: "And why would this old friend want so badly to see me back in my own time?"
• Darkness: "I need you to act as a waypoint."
• Maleficent: "A waypoint?"
• Darkness: "Didn't I tell you earlier?"
• Darkness: "In order to travel through time, you need a medium to form a body, and someone with memories of you. No one from this world has those in the future."
• Darkness: "But if we send you back, that all changes. Someone from this time could find their way to you."
• Maleficent: "And into the future?"
• Darkness: "That's not important."
• Darkness: "Getting back to your own time is all that matters, right?"
• Maleficent: "Hmph! I suppose."

[Maleficent approaches a huge door.]

• Darkness: "This is the place."
• Maleficent: "How do we get in?"

["Darkness" summons a Corridor of Darkness.]

• Maleficent: "I see."

[Maleficent walks through the Corridor and enters a room with a big machine.]

• Maleficent: "Is this it?"
• Darkness: "Yes."
• Darkness: "If you want to go now, this is your chance."
• Maleficent: "No, not just yet."
• Darkness: "I wouldn't waste my time snooping around if I were you."
• Maleficent: "You see?"
• Lauriam: "What are YOU doing here?"

[Lauriam enters the room.]

• Lauriam: "You may want to think carefully before you answer."

[Lauriam summons his Keyblade.]
