Our work wouldn't go half as smoothly if we didn't gather the needed intelligence beforehand.

This article is lacking: Rewrite lead with official localized terms, fill in missing special attack descriptions, remove "type" column, reorganize abilities in logical order via Album (Raids together, Breaks together, etc.); clarify Damage increase increment and how it is controlled by rarity and dots; clarify the requirements for "special conditions" like how much HP is "low", etc.

Abilities are the special attacks attached to each medal. These abilities are utilized by dragging the medal from the corner into combat. Abilities are either single target or area of effect, referring to the number of enemies struck by the attack, and all abilities have an Ability Gauge cost which must be paid to execute the attack.Some rare medals might have an area of effect ability which is normally single target; these variation abilities will have a higher cost for use.

The number of attacks made by abilities tends to increase as the medal increases in power. For example, Yuna's Ability has one attack at 1★ and 2★, two attacks at 3★, 4★ and 5★, and three attacks at 6★.

Damage for a medal's ability is determined by a multiplier, attached to each medal. This multiplier can be increased by adding an ability dot. Increasing a medal's power can also be achieved by melding Chip medals to increase attack power, through Guilt, and by positioning medals in slots on your Keyblade that have a multiplier. Some abilities have a multiplier range, and increase in power if certain requirements are met. For example, Sonic Rave increases in power if used against an enemy inflicted with the Sleep status, and Zantetsuken increases in power when the player's HP is low.
