Quest 941 takes place in Game Central Station.

Story summary

After meeting with King Candy, Ralph tries to talk Vanellope out of entering the race. Vanellope gets mad, and Ralph destroys the kart. The Player and Chirithy decide to follow Ralph, and ask him about the cause of Vanellope glitching.

Script

Before quest

[Ralph and King Candy are talking.]

• King Candy: "I'm counting on you to talk a little sense into her."

[King Candy steps in his kart and drives away.]

[The Player walks in on Ralph and Vanellope arguing.]

• Vanellope: "Can you believe this!? Ralph's trying to get me to drop out of the race!"

[Something shines on Ralph's chest.]

• Vanellope: "Wait a minute..."

[Vanellope snatches the medal from underneath his shirt.]

• Vanellope: "Where did you get this?"
• Ralph: "Look, I'm gonna be straight with you, kid. I've been talking to King Candy."
• Vanellope: "King Candy? You sold me out?"
• Ralph: "No. Listen, you don't understand."
• Vanellope: "No, I understand plenty. Traitor!"

[Vanellope angrily throws the medal at Ralph.]

• Ralph: "No. I'm not a traitor. Listen."
• Vanellope: "You're a rat!"

[Vanellope gets in her kart.]

• Vanellope: "And I don't need you! I can win the race on my own."
• Ralph: "But I'm trying to save your skin, kid!"

[Ralph grabs Vanellope.]

• Vanellope: "Hey! Put me down! Let me go!"
• Ralph: "No, you listen to me."

[Ralph puts Vanellope down on the ground.]

• Ralph: "King Candy explained something to me... When the players see you glitching, they're gonna think the game's broken."
• Vanellope: "I don't care! You're a liar!"
• Ralph: "Well, you better care, because if your game goes out of order, you go down with the ship, little sister!"
• Vanellope: "I'm not listening to you! Get out of my way! I'm going to that race!"

[Vanellope tries to get to her kart, but Ralph picks her up again.]

• Ralph: "No, you're not!"

[Ralph hangs Vanellope on the branch of a tree.]

• Vanellope: "Take me down from here, Ralph, right now!"
• Ralph: "No."

[Ralph walks up to the kart.]

• Ralph: "I'm doing this for your own good!"
• Vanellope: "Wait, wait, wait."

[Ralph clenches his hands to fists.]

• Vanellope: "No, no, no! Please, Ralph! No!"

[Ralph starts wrecking the kart.]

• Vanellope: "Stop!"

[The screen goes black, and returns to Vanellope lying on the ground next to the broken kart.]

• Vanellope: "You really are a bad guy."

[Vanellope runs off. Ralph picks up the medal.]

[When The Player is left alone with the broken kart, Chirithy appears.]

• Chirithy: "I can hardly believe it..."
• Chirithy: "Ralph said something back there about Vanellope glitching. Maybe he knows what's causing it."
• Chirithy: "Yeah, I know. I'm worried about Vanellope, too. But if we find out what's causing these glitches, we can help her out at the same time."
• Chirithy: "Trust me on this."

[The Player nods.]

• Chirithy: "Thanks. All right, let's follow Ralph!"
